This is a very well made writing or dressing table, dating to the English George III period of the late 18th century, circa 1790.

This is a lovely piece of English furniture with classic proportions consistent with Georgian furniture of this period, both elegant and timeless.

The rectangular cross banded top is raised on four square tapered legs and sits on four original brass castors. The single cock beaded drawer has its original brass ring handles, fitted brass lock and hardwood drawer linings with an oak drawer base.

This piece is beautifully made with a lovely depth of colour, mellow and well patinated.

The lock works but requires a new key. The key in the images does not work the lock but is useful for pulling the drawer open.

Overall, an elegant, practical piece that would grace any home.
