This is a good quality Art Deco period lidded Box, of Birds-Eye Maple veneer, probably French in origin and dating to circa 1925.

The box has a rectangular shape with a fitted hinged lid, all in birds-eye maple. This box is very well made of a Birds-eye Maple which is veneered onto a different wood, with veneers to all the external surfaces apart from the base. The insides of the box are also veneered which is a real sign of quality. The lid front has a slightly protruding shaped top which acts a a lifting handle to the lid.

This box has a variety of uses, such as jewelry or trinkets on the desk or dressing table. Overall a high quality finely made box.
