This is a solid bronze figurine of a young Girl with a blindfold playing Hide and Seek, which we attribute to the Italian sculptor Giuseppe Ferrari ( Ferrara , 1804 - Ferrara , 1884 ) this piece being made in the last quarter of the 19th Century
The figure is beautifully sculpted with very good detail, having a lovely depth of color which is difficult to capture in a photograph. The bronze is very well patinated showing a lighter color to the high points of the figure where it has been handled and polished over the years.
The base is signed on the top behind the feet but the signature is not easy to read.
Overall a very well sculpted bronze figure from the 19th century
