Description

This is a hand painted blue and white Chinese porcelain plate, dating to the second half of the 18th century, circa 1770, Qing dynasty.
The plate is well potted, and has been hand decorated in a free flowing manner in varying shades of cobalt 'steel' blue. The glaze is thin and glassy with a lovely bluish tinge.
The decoration shows a central well which has three floral sprigs, the main one having a large flower, all set within a wavy double line having six knots. The outer rim is decorated with six small floral sprigs set within a nappy border.
The foot rim is neatly trimmed and the plate is in good condition for its age.
CONDITION
Good antique condition. Some wear marks to the glaze from use. Some minimal outer rim nibbling or frits which are normal for this age. NO Hairlines, NO cracks and NO Restoration.
