This is a good antique stone China (Ironstone) Serving Dish or Platter, in the hand - painted Tobacco Leaf pattern number 2061, made by the Copeland Late Spode factory during the mid 19th century.
 
The platter or Dish is well potted, fairly deep, with an octagonal shape and a notched rim.
 
The piece is finely hand decorated with hand painted enamels in the very decorative and distinctive tobacco leaf pattern, pattern number 2061. The decoration is enhanced with hand gilded detailing. The dish is very well painted as usual with the Spode factory. The dish is marked to the base with the Copeland Late Spode blue printed mark, together with the hand painted pattern number - 2061 - in red.
 
Overall a distinctive and useful antique serving platter dating to circa 1850
