These are a set of four very attractive similar, Dutch (Netherlands), delft Polychrome, blue and white hand painted earthenware ceramic wall tiles dating to the early 17th century.
All tiles are nominally 5 inches square and 1/2 inches thick.
This is a good set of very early delft Tiles. Each tile has an under-glaze cobalt blue design of stylised tulips with "Holy Trinity" corners. Each tile also has overglaze polychrome enamel decoration in yellow ochre and or green or blue.
These very early delft tiles are very hard to get in good condition and in matching sets as most are so badly damaged
Condition: Good for age. Some edge chipping and glaze crazing.
No cracks.
