This is a very good stone China (Ironstone pottery) Dish or small bowl, hand painted in the tobacco leaf pattern, number 2061, made by the Spode factory in the early 19th century, English Georgian period, circa 1820.

 

The dish is made from Ironstone China and beautifully decorated with hand painted enamels in the very distinctive tobacco leaf pattern, pattern number 2061. The hand decoration also has very good gilded detail with all the painting very well done, as usual with the Spode factory. The base has the "Spode" Stone China blue printed mark, as used by the factory from 1815-1830.

 

Overall a high quality decorative dish by Spode over 200 years old with no damage.
