This is a good and very decorative porcelain footed deep bowl, hand-painted in polychrome enamels and dating to the second half of the 19th century, circa 1860, Meiji period. The bowl is well hand potted with a circular deep shape, on a low foot. The rim is wavy as per the images . This bowl is beautifully hand decorated over glaze in bold polychrome enamels; externally with three alternating floral scenes in circular panels set among trailing vines and internally with a central leaf motif, with outer border, then all around the sides with a three section design of dragons in between vertical panels of large flowering asters. The base rim has two border designs in cobalt blue The base is unmarked as was often the case.

    GoodWear consistent with age and use. Overall Good antique condition. A couple of rim edge nibbles. NO Cracks, NO Restoration. The bowl has a good ring to it when tapped with a finger.
