This is a very fine quality Chinese Blanc-De-Chine Vase with a fine reticulated decoration, dating to the Mid 20th Century, Circa 1940.
The vase is very well hand potted with a beaker body and flared rim with a glaze colour of a soft creamy white. The vase is reticulated ( cut away) in the body and parts of the neck, with two curved side handles. The foot rim is well cut and the central base is also glazed, with a hole in it for possible use as a lamp base
The Blanc-de- Chine cut-away decoration forms a criss-cross network with the eight Chinese Immortals moulded around the mid body. These moulded figures really add to the decoration and make the piece special. The only markings on the base are the impressed number 28 which probably relates to the maker, possibly a size mark as these vases were often made in different sizes.
We date this piece to the mid 20th century, Circa 1940 or possibly slightly earlier.
