This is a late 19th century Mason’s ironstone large Dinner Plate in a striking heavily gilded pattern.

This large plate is decorated in a bold chinoiserie pattern that is very similar to the Central Flowers and Twirls pattern as documented and illustrated on page 151 of A Guide to Mason's patent Ironstone Patterns,” published by The Mason's Collectors' Club. The whole plate is hand enameled in colors of bottle green, salmon, burnt orange and white with a profusion of hand painted gilded detail.

The base carries a Mason's puce transfer printed crown mark, with England below which dates the plate to post 1891. We date this plate to the late 19th century, circa 1895-1900

This is a very beautiful Masons Ironstone antique dinner plate for use or display as required.
