Description
These are SIX Delft Wall Tiles, all with hand painted blue and white waterside landscape scenes, made in the Netherlands during the 19th century.
The tiles are ceramic, made of earthenware and nominally about 5.2 inches square.
The set of SIX blue and white tiles are individually hand-painted with different landscapes scenes. The scenes all comprise landscapes by the sea with houses, windmills and boats on the water, all within two blue circles and with spider motifs in blue, painted to each corner.
We date this set of tiles to the mid 19th century.
None of the tiles have been restored.
This is a very decorative set and could be individually framed and hung or displayed as a group and used as feature tiles in a tiled wall etc.
Condition: Overall good for their age. The condition of the Tiles varies, with some edge nibbling /chipping. NO Cracks and NO Restoration. Please see Images.
